OBITUARY
THEODORE DUPUIS
January 16, 1921 – December 14, 2018
It is with great regret we announce the passing of Théodore (Ted) Dupuis on Friday, December 14, one month short from his 98th birthday at Action Marguerite, St. Vital.
He was a loving husband to Germaine (nee Trudel) for 72 years, a Dad to Laura (Gerry Lambert) and Joselyn (Bryon Burvill); a Pepère to Joanne, Michelle (Steve), Amy, Heath, Erin and Andrew; a great grandpa to Kali, Cody, Geneviève (Randy), Julia, Lennox, Griffin, Katie and Lily; and a foster dad to Heather (Robert) and their sons Conan (Marcelle) and Shane.
Ted also leaves behind two brothers, Jean-Guy (Jeannette) of St. Jean Baptiste and Arthur of Alberta, and sister-in-law, Irène Dupuis; many nieces and nephews who were very dear to him; as well as many cousins.
Ted was predeceased by his parents Wilfrid Dupuis and Marie Louise Gagné, brothers Roger, Ulysse, René, Gérard, Aimé, sisters Alida and Thérèse, and in-laws Léontine, Jeannine, Rose-Marie, Edmond Bouchard and Charles-Emile Roy.
He started his working life on the farm in St. Jean Baptiste, and later became a certified journeyman carpenter. He moved his family to Winnipeg in 1955 where he honed his carpentry skills leading him to many important construction projects. Ted was a hardworking man, a caring man, a man who performed volunteer work until his 92nd year. He never stopped helping others. He was a long-standing member of the Chevaliers de Colomb and served as a Grand Knight for two years.
The family would like to express thanks to the nurses, doctors and health care aides at Action Marguerite
St. Vital for their care and compassion.
There will be a funeral service at St. Boniface Cathedral on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:30am. The eulogy will be read at 10:15am.
