Gladwin Ivan Wray Beavers, age 88, of London and formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Henley Place (London). Born in West Nissouri Township, son of the late Chester and Elva (McCorquodale) Beavers. Predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years the former Nola Lorene (Attlebery) on April 3, 2017. Much loved father of Sylvia (Dave) Cattrysse, Barry (Jennifer) Beavers, Scott Beavers, Laurie (Don) Bodin, Proud grandfather of Jeff Cattrysse (Alexandra George), Allison ( Tony) Dekroon, Chris (Kyla) Beavers, Meghan Beavers, Erin Beavers, Kayla (Chris) Higgins, Mark Bodin and great-grandfather of Keith, Jeff and Kate Dekroon, Chloe, William and Alexandra Higgins. Gladwin is survived by his brother Clare (Joan) Beavers and his sisters-in-law Betty Barons and Lois Attlebery and will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, Gladwin was predeceased by a son Bradley Beavers and siblings; Leland, Mervin, Keith, Warren, Alice and Mildred. Family and friends will be received at the W.G. Young Funeral Home 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
