Howard Robert Johnson Sr. passed away peacefully on December 6, 2018 at home.
Born in Chapel Island, he was the son of the late Tom and Elizabeth Johnson.
He was a member of Eskasoni Holy Family parish.
Howard is survived by his wife Ethel; children; Diane, Howard Jr. (Arlene), Karen, Sheila, Alexina (Milton), Phillip (Michelle) and Desmond (Allison). Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; sisters Gladys ‘Gusty’ and Patricia; brother, Stanley Johnson Sr. (Marjorie) and godchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Rodney Johnson; sisters, Theresa, Flora, Georgie, Sarah and Anna Jean; brothers, John T., Roddie, Mathew, and Leo.
Visitation will begin Thursday, December 13, 2018 after 7 pm at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church with Fr.
