Robert Donald Kozak
February 9, 1953 – December 1, 2018
Robert/Bob/Rob Kozak was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. He grew up in East Vancouver, and attended Templeton High School. He completed his Bachelor of Education at UBC in 1978 and soon began his teaching career at Holy Cross Secondary in Surrey. Rob loved his vocation and gave himself fully to his school community. He is survived by many loved ones, including his brother, Adam (Kvitka Ann), and Ed (Teresa). He was dear to the hearts of his nephews, Andre (Zdenka, Saffron, Andre), Adam (Danielle), Alex (Alexis, Mateo, Kalayna), Richard (Madeline, Adrian, Gabriel), Michael, and his nieces Christina (Russ, Ciarran, Christian), and Eveleen. Robert was particularly close to his cousin Eunice Patrone, and her beautiful family in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. A loving and generous brother, uncle, cousin, and teacher, Rob will be greatly missed, and will be a guardian angel to many.
Panachyda Панахидa Prayers will be offered at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (560 West 14th Avenue Vancouver) on Wednesday, December 12th at 7:00 pm. Divine Liturgy Funeral Service to follow on Thursday, December 13th at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at 2:00 pm at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery (15800 32 Ave, Surrey, BC)
