Obituary of Vera Eden
EDEN- Vera (nee Ballin) formerly of Port Colborne passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Welland County General Hospital on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Donald Eden, loving mother of Donna (Garv) Flutur and Daryn (Jeri-Ann) and family, dear grandmother of Melissa Flutur and great grandmother of Jaxon and Ashtyn, sister of Franny (John), Nick (Pam) and John (Pat), sister-in-law Barbara. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson Danny, her brothers Jim and Bill and her sister Nellie (Ange). Vera owned and operated Donald Eden Electric and then went on and worked other jobs. She loved to socialize, line dancing and bowling, where she won numerous awards. Vera was a strong and very stubborn woman who also loved her Bingo and Scratch tickets and most of all spending time with her family. Vera had lived at Royal Rose Place in Welland and was treated like family. The family wishes to thank Royal Rose Place, PSW’s and nurses, Dr. Koziarz and Dr. Daniel, to all of staff at the Emergency and ICU at the Welland Hospital and the CCAC Staff. There will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. A private family service will be held at Overholt Cemetery.
