D. Moody
Gesner, 93, of McKees Mills, passed away peacefully at the Stella
Maris de Kent Hospital on Sunday, December 2,
2018.
Born in
McKees Mills, he was the son of the late Charles and Alfreda (Biggs)
Gesner.
Moody
retired from C.N.R. Express and was a retired farmer. He was a member
of Zion United Church, McKees Mills, Salisbury Lodge #20, F. &
A.M., C.N. Pensioners Association and the Golden Age Club in
Richibucto.
Moody will
be sadly missed by his daughter, Wendy Fahey (Michael) of McKees
Mills; sons, Danny of Moncton and Ricky (Sheila) of Athol, Mass;
grandchildren, Krista Sobey (David), Colleen Fahey-Budd (Aaron), Lisa
Burnham (Ross), Laura Gesner, Charles Gesner (Brittany) and Aaron
Gesner; great grandchildren, Ella, Paige, Mitike, Sadie, MaKenzie,
Mason, Wesley and Peter; sisters, Barbara Coates (late Vernon) and
Lucille Colpitts (late Archie), as well as several nieces, nephews and
extended family members.
In addition
to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lillian
« Lil » M. (Taylor) Gesner (April 2010) and sisters, Evelyn
Price (late Ron) and Joan Rushton (late
Garth).
A Service to
celebrate and honour Moody’s life will be held at Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Derek Geldart
officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Funeral Home
Reception Centre. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, McKees
Mills.
