SHOESMITH, Donald
Peacefully at his residence on Thursday, November 29, 2018, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Janet. Cherished father of Kathy Shoesmith (Richard Cox), Karen Shoesmith (Greg Kennedy) and father-in-law of Greg Ripco. Loving grandfather of Rebecca (Liam), Jake, Ryan and Erin. Don will be dearly missed by his wonderful friend and companion Sharon. Don was a fixture on Ottawa St. as the owner of Shoesmith’s Color Centre and Wood’s Furniture for over 40 years. Will be missed by his many cousins, friends, neighbours and hunting buddies. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
