Valerie was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Elizabeth Brown and Marvin Lenny on February 27, 1958. After attending high school at Strathcona Composite High, Valerie went on to have a long and meaningful 37-year career helping health care professionals to help others, at the University of Alberta hospital, as a Switchboard Operator. During this time she became a wife and devoted mother to 3 beautiful girls and a grandson. Valerie is an amazing soul who’s warmth and friendly personality left a mark on those she touched. Always considerate and kind she unfailingly put her loved ones first. She was a beloved companion and a fantastic cook, who loved to read and indulge in moves, in her free time. She will be profoundly missed by everyone who knew her.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 2, beginning at 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of her Life at 2:00 pm at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 – 34 Avenue, Edmonton.
