Otilia Custodia Balbino
Balbino, Otilia Custodia Ribeiro, age 93, of Dartmouth, passed away on November 25, 2018 in the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Quarteira, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Gualdino Ribeiro de Pera and Maria Jeronima.
Otilia is survived by her daughters, Esmeralda (Herbert) Schagen, Hoorn, Netherlands, and Liliana Martins, Bedford; sons, Constantino (Marcia) Balbino, East Lawrencetown, and Victor (Ruth) Balbino, Dartmouth; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Jose Balbino; son-in-law Olimpio Martins and all of her sisters and brothers.
Cremation has taken place. The memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Friday November 30th in St. Thomas More Parish, 15 Caledonia Road, Dartmouth, Father Toochukwu Okafor as Celebrant. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens with a reception immediately following in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
