Obituary of Mildred Saxton
SAXTON, Mildred (Millie) Ruby – Age 82, of Bridgewater, passed away on November 21st in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Spryfield, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Dora (Bobbit) MacKay.
Millie is survived by her children, Mark (Cheryl) Saxton, Calgary, AB; Anne (Laurie) Martin, Bridgewater; Kathleen (Chris) Wamboldt, Liverpool; Matt (Astrid), Berlin, Germany; cherished grandchildren, Alicia, Alex, Zachary, Colton, Nicole, Lucy and Katie, Great Grandchildren; Owen and Georgia; sisters, Carol Stewart, Edmonton, AB; Doralyn (Doug) Croft, Ontario; Sandra (Butch) Brunt, Halifax.
Besides her parents she was pre-deceased by her loving husband, John; sisters, Betty Perks and Margaret Mackay; brother, Paul MacKay; and infant grandson, Ryan.
She will forever be remembered as a self-less, gentle, kind-hearted, mother, sister, wife, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A special thank you to her kind neighbours who always looked out for her and to the nurses and doctors at the South Shore Regional Hospital- Chemotherapy Unit and Emergency Department. Our family is grateful for the amazing care she received
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeney’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. No visitation or funeral at her request. A private family service will be held at a later date.
