Peacefully on November 15th, 2018 in her 94th year. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Orfeo. Loving mother of Luisa and Celestino DiTomaso and Tony and Tina Fallucco. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Luisa and Chris MacInnis, Sonia and Tom Alaimo, Patrizia and Pasquale Fazzari, Anthony Fallucco, Lia Fallucco, and Callum McCallum. Cherished Bisnonna to Celeste, Mary, Isabella, Francesca, Stephanie and Giulia. Loving sister to the late Alferio and Teresa Salciciolli and niece and nephew Pat and Tony. Lia was born in Gagliano, Aterno on March 9, 1925, and came to Canada in 1958 with her children to join her husband Orfeo for a better life. Lia was known for selflessly putting the needs of her family first, and for her patient and loving hands which tenderly prepared meals and cookies to warm our hearts and comfort our souls. She has instilled beloved family traditions not only to her children and grandchildren, but also to the joys of her life, her great granddaughters, whom she never left without saying, « I lovva you Bella. » Most comforting to all of us is that she left this world in her 94th year, exactly as she wanted, peacefully in her sleep in her family home she loved so much. We would like to thank Patrice and Lia’s PSW Shirlon, for their companionship and compassionate care that helped Lia live independently and comfortably at home through these past few years. Friends and relatives will be received at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E. (near James) on Monday, November 19th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 at 10a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. Mom, we admire your style and will continue to cherish your guidance in every aspect of our lives.
