Marjorie Dance
1927-2018
DANCE, Marjorie Elizabeth.
Born in Medicine Hat, AB in 1927 to Thomas (1951) and Freda (1979)
Dance. In 1930 the family of five moved to Galt where Marjorie was
schooled. In her teens, she felt the call of God upon her life for
missionary service. Following graduation from Bible School and the
Missionary Health Institute, she was accepted by SIM in 1954 for
service in Nigeria. She spent her years at Egbe Hospital until 1985
when the hospital was nationalized. Upon her return to Canada, she
served in the Mission office until retirement in 1992. She was
predeceased by her sisters Lillian (2006) and Elsie (Howard) in 2014.
Surviving are a niece Helen Howard and family (Ottawa), Jim Howard
(Ottawa) and Ron & Donna Howard (New Brunswick). Burial has taken
place. A Memorial Service will be held at Fairview Mennonite Home
Auditorium, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge, on Monday, November 26, 2018
at 2pm. In memory of Marjorie, donations to SIM Canada, 10 Huntingdale
Blvd., Scarborough, ON
