Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 of McIntyre in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Kathaleen(nee Boyes). Loving father of Tracy(David) Culham of Singhampton and Malcolm (Mac)(Tracy) Macdonald of McIntyre. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Austin and Travis Culham, Wade and Victoria Macdonald. Dear brother of Kay(Don) McKean of Nottawa, Linda Young of Etobicoke, Margaret McIntyre of Feversham, Paul Macdonald of McIntyre, sisters in-law Mildred(Reg) McInnis of Collingwood, Mary Blakey, Darlene Boyes both of Wasaga Beach and brother in-law Mac McIntyre of Feversham. Predeceased by sister Jeanette Hockley, brother Neil Macdonald, brothers in-law Jack Hockley, John McIntyre, Duncan Boyes and sisters in-law Sadie McIntyre and Margaret Moffatt. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Wilson was born to Mac & Grace Macdonald on March 31, 1946 in Osprey Township. He attended the one room school house, SS#2 in McIntyre and high school in Dundalk. His career started by acquiring a course at Collingwood Collegiate in welding and used those skills working at the Collingwood Ship Yards. He started side jobs as a carpenter and when the Ship Yards closed in 1986, he went into carpentry full time. All the while working on his farm, raising beef cattle. He still found time for hunting, trapping, fishing, snowmobiling and of course watching the Blue Jays. He thoroughly enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Osprey Community Centre on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 with memories shared at 2:15pm. Cremation has taken place and Wilson will be laid to rest at the McIntyre Pioneer Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to the Campbell House Hospice or the McIntyre Pioneer Cemetery would be gratefully appreciated.
