With a sense of deep sorrow and loss, our family announces the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Douglas Allan Baker.
Douglas was born January 2, 1922 in Innisfail, Alberta to Montague Baker and Ida Snider. He was the youngest of five siblings. Douglas was a journeyman Sheet Metalworker. In his retirement he enjoyed the company of friends and family.
Douglas leaves to mourn his passing, their daughter Christine Keith and her husband Ron and their children Tammy, Melanie, Sheri and Donald; their son Monty Baker and his wife Joan and their children Kathryn and Gabriel; their son Brian Baker and nine great-grandchildren. Douglas was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline and his siblings Edith, Louise, Richard and Joseph.
We extend thanks to the staff at Chartwell for their kindness, support and care for Douglas.
Memorial donations in Douglas’s honour can be made to the Heart and Stroke Fund.
Cremation has occurred.
