Forever In Our Hearts
With the hearts full of sadness we announce the passing of Irwin Dunajski on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the age of 97 years. He was known to many as Slugger and to his family, as Daddy, Grandpa and Great.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Beth (Archer); parents John and Johanna; siblings Felix and Francis; and his son-in-law Ken Fink.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Pat Fink, Donna (Greg) Chasse, JoAnne (Darren) Illingworth and Lynn Neithercut; grandchildren Terri, Micheal (Taniel/Vienna), Jeremy (Amanda), Jeffrey, Craig, Daniel (Chloe), Kyle (Charlotte) and Nicole (Adam); great grandchildren Taylor and Lilee; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.
Slugger, originally from the district of Dilke, spent many happy years in the communities of Dilke, Bethune and Regina where he worked, met Beth and raised their family.
Sluggers’ family was his greatest joy, as he was theirs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
Slugger enjoyed a life of great friendships, gardening, travel, sports and hard work.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
Donations in memory of Slugger may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, 1820 Cornwall Street, Regina SK S4P 2K2 or a charity of your choice.
Our hearts are shaken, but the beautiful memories will never disappear. We thank you for all the love, support and wisdom you showed us. Daddy we will love and cherish you forever. “All our love, your Girls.”
