Peacefully, surrounded by her family at her residence on Saturday, October 20th, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Loving wife of Pavle « Paul » and cherished mother of Meleni Tesic (Ljubisa) and Jasna Czaharynski (Sean). Adored Baba of Diana, Kristina, Michael, Ilija and Liam. Baka to Maksim, Viktoria, Alexander and a new baby boy born on Oct. 18, 2018. Survived by 2 sisters and predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Tetka to many nieces and nephews and Kuma to Danilo, Stefan, Teodora and Nikola. Jelica will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her kindness to her friends and as being an inspiring “power walker”. The family wishes to thank Dr. Sas and Dr. Spacek as well as the Palliative Care Team for their exceptional care and compassion.
Family and friends may pay respects at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church (721 Somerset St. W.) Wednesday, October 24, 2018 for Vespers Service at 7 p.m., followed by visitation at 8 p.m. Funeral Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church for Liturgy at 11 a.m.
Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Bukovynian Orthodox Cemetery, 1890 Merivale Road. For those wishing, In Memoriam donations to the Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church Building Fund are appreciated.
