Terrance « Terry » Wallis Sparks
Sparks, Terrence Wallis “Terry”, age 52, of Lake Loon passed away on October 13, 2018 at home.
Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of Mary Elizabeth Sparks.
Terry worked for 20 years at the IWK, before taking a position with the Halifax School Board where he remained employed until his passing. He loved to play baseball and was a fan of all sports, especially hockey. He also had a passion for cars. He belonged to the Brotherhood of Cherry Brook Church and the Mass Choir. He also served as an Usher and was a member of the Social Committee and the Board of Trustees at Cherry Brook United Baptist Church.
Terry is survived by his common-law spouse Nicole Murphy; daughter Tiearrah Marie Sparks and grandson Kingston.
He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Labbe, Lorna Sparks, Diane Sparks and Sharmaine Sparks; brothers, Arnold, David, Milton, Marlin, Nolan, Glenn and Tony Sparks; and many nieces and nephews.
Teryy was predeceased by his mother Mary Elizabeth Sparks and son Jaivoan Cromwell.
Visitation will be held from 7-9pm on Monday October 22 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. The funeral service will take place at 1pm on Tuesday October 23rd in Cherry Brook United Baptist Church, 292 Cherry Brook Road, Cherry Brook. Burial in Cherry Brook United Baptist Church Cemetery. Following burial, a repast will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street., Dartmouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cherry Brook United Baptist Church.
