Lark Janet Smith
Smith, Lark Janet, 68 passed away peacefully on Oct 16th, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Janet spent the last weeks of her life surrounded by friends and family at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Janet had a great love for her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 48 years, David Robert Smith. Lovingly remembered by daughter Sandra Thornhill (David), son Danny Smith (Shawna), mother Viola deMolitor, brothers Billy deMolitor, Bruce deMolitor (Mary), grand children Justin, Riley, Ben, Carter and Madison. As well as a large extended family.
Janet was pre-deceased by her Father, David deMolitor and brothers in-law Bill Smith and Dale Smith who she loved like a brother.
Special thanks to all the friends and family that took the time to come and share their love in person or in spirit with Janet and her family over the last few years. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff of three East in the Dartmouth General Hospital for their attentive and thoughtful care for the last two weeks.
A casual and informal gathering to celebrate Janet’s life by those who loved and cared for her will take place at Sandra’s house on November 3rd 2018 from 1-5pm. 14 Seans Lane, West Porter’s Lake.
