Obituary of Robert Malkin
Robert Andrew Malkin, 71 of Truro, passed away October 15, 2018 in the Colchester Hospital, Truro. He was the son of the late Jack and Bertha (Cluff) Malkin.
Robert stated his career as a Motocycle Police Officer with the Toronto Metro Police Force. Later he transferred to the Halifax Metro Police Force. Robert decided to settle in Truro and complete his career with Canada Post.
He had a love of food socially and was known as a great cook. He had a vibrant passion for travelling and whenever the opportunity presented itself, travel would be on his motorcycle.
He is survived by daughters Kimberley (Darren) Whalen and Kelly LaPierre; grandchildren Arthur Probert, Victoria Probert, Nikyla LaPierre, Christian LaPierre, Marshall LaPierre; great-granddaughter Mekila Harvey; stepbrother Brian Mitchell; his loving companion of ten years, Betty Lou Thompson; stepdaughters Stella Thompson; Sandra Fleming; stepsons Leroy Thompson; Gordon Thompson; nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
