Stephen Thomas Joseph Oakes
Stephen Thomas Joseph Oakes, 66 born October 4th 1952 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully with his family on October 13th 2018 at the QE II Health Sciences Centre Hospital.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Wanda, (Greenwood) Oakes; sister, Mary Cairns; son, Darrin (Jen) Oakes; daughter, Krista (Allen) Oakes; three grandsons, Brody, Luke, Morgan and one granddaughter Kasey as well as nieces and nephews.
Stephen was predeceased by his mother, Margaret and father, Joseph; brother-in-law, Denton Cairns and grandparents, Mary and Thomas MacDonald.
Stephen was a long-time employee of Capital Health retiring in 2007.
Stephen found a love for golfing during his retirement and more recently for his new Mustang, joining the mustang club and going on many adventures with them.
Stephen was a Proud Family Man and will be greatly missed by all including his little buddy, Max the dog!

The family would like to thank all of the stuff on 7.1 at the QE2 II for their care and support over the last couple of months.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 18th from 4-6pm in Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, please join us for a time of remembering, family interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
