It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Thomas Cavan on Saturday October 6, 2018, at the age of 78. Cherished and beloved husband of Janet (Williams). Predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Brown). Proud father of Timothy (Lorie), Michael (Patricia Cain) and Kevin (Angie). Wonderful step-father to Colin Vollrath (Iwona), Derek Vollrath (Jeffrey Taylor) and Jennifer Vollrath. Adored Poppa to Brendan (Claudia Cameron), Sarah, Andrew, Elizabeth, Liam, Holland, Easton, Claire, Scott, Victoria and Jessica and great-granddaughter Summer. Brother of Wallace (Willena), Kathy (Earl Akeson), Bernard (Henriette), Mary Jane (late Marcel Rocque), Michael (Sandra) and the late Leonard (Shirley). Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. (between Scrivens Dr. and Metcalfe Corner) on Thursday October 11 from 7-9 pm, on Friday October 12, 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Saturday to St. John the Evangelist Church, 2546 Stagecoach Rd. at 11 am. If desired memorial donations made to Ottawa Fire Fighter Community Foundation, 865 Gladstone Ave. Ottawa, ON K1R7T4 or the Winchester and District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
