Neil Simon MacLennan
Peacefully in Ottawa with his family by his side, at the age of 80.
Beloved husband of Suzanne (nee Lefebvre). Loving father of Carole (Lawrence), Eric (Renee) & Christine (Greg). Cherished grandfather of Candice, Christian, Caitlin, Camille, Alyn, Justin & Sarah. Adored great-grandfather of Jacob & Jayden. Dear brother of Ruth, Don, Keith and the late Ross.
Neil spent time in the Air Force and worked many years at OC Transpo in Plant Energy Systems. His passions included the restoration of antique automobiles, tinkering with computers and he loved science & nature. He was known for his Intelligence, curiosity, humour and generosity. Friends, neighbours and family could always count on his ready help and advice.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada or the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation.
Friends may visit with the family at Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave., Carleton Place, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 11 am – 2 pm.
