Ray Dove, 98, died peacefully at his home,
The Tapestry in Vancouver. Born inWeston−
Super−Mare, England to Frank Edward Dove
& Linda Susan Dove (nee Shepherd) he
married Jean SutherlandWilson in June 1945
in Cairo, Egypt. He is greatly missed by
daughter Jane (Marty) Allen & son Steve
(Frances) Dove, 5 grandchildren Meghan
Allen (Dave Graves), Greg (Jasmine) Allen,
Adam (Deanna) Cowley, Caitlin (James)
McKeachie,& Charlotte (Pat)O’Reilly aswell
as 10 great−grandchildren Brandon, Kyle,
Russell, Elisabeth, Halle, Lexi, Rosemary,
Duke, Gavin & Lucas. Hewill also bemissed
by his many friends & family, here & in
England. Raywas predeceased bywife Jean
& grandson Geoffrey. After serving in the
British Army in WWII Ray immigrated to
Vancouver in 1952 & continued his career in
the insurance industry. Ray was an active
member of the YMCA for 35 years aswell as
an avid field hockey player, golfer& bridge
player. He deliveredmeals−on−wheels till he
was 93 & volunteered at his church until his
death. Amemorial service and receptionwill
be held at 2PMNovember 10th at StMary’s
Church, 2490W. 37th Vancouver. Donations
may be made to the CNIB or SPCA.
