Kristina Breau, 23, passed away suddenly on September 16th, 2018, due to a long battle with mental illness. She was born to Ron and Kathy Breau on December 21st, 1994, and later raised in Greely Ontario. Although, most recently calling Tees, Alberta her home. She found solace in the laid back Alberta lifestyle. She was home there. She had recently enrolled in Red Deer College to pursue accounting, and was working at Cash Casino as a games dealer. She had a real knack for numbers.
She was a very passionate person. She was an animal rights activist, an adventurous explorer and traveller, and unapologetic about who she was.
Kristina was an artist. In the way that she thought, and in the way that she performed. She was a singer, and self-taught guitar and keyboard player. As a child the keyboard was always in use, and later she proudly housed one in her own home.
She is survived by her loving parents Ron and Kathy Breau. She also leaves behind her sister Megan, and her husband Hugh. She was a loving Aunt to Brantley, and would have adored her niece Scarlett. She also leaves behind her maternal Grandparents Fred and Shirley Ward, and her paternal Grandparents John & Gisele Breau. Many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends will also deeply miss her.
Kristina also leaves behind her boyfriend Joe Salazar. Joe was a loving partner to Kristina, and became her family in Alberta. She proudly brought him home to meet all of her family this past summer when they returned to Ottawa together.
Kristina’s life was filled with simple pleasures, some of which, being her three cats. They gave her the companionship no human could.
We wish her freedom, and inner peace as she now rests in an eternal slumber.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank Street (between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Monday September 24. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Dr. at 2 pm Reception to follow. Private Inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ottawa Humane Society, 245 West Hunt Club Rd. Ottawa, On. K2E 1A6 would be appreciated.
