It is with great sadness that the family of Bernell Maurice announce his sudden passing on September 8, 2018, in Wayakwin, SK. Bernell was born on November 3, 1977, to Yvonne and Robert Maurice in LaRonge, SK. Bernelle was someone that kept you laughing and was always quick whited and ready to keep you guessing. Everyone that came into touch with him will remember those big blue eyes and his charismatic laugh. He was a great father and family meant everything to him. With the sudden passing of his son Dustin Bird, his heart was fractioned with pain and longing to be with him. Bernell was working in the contracting field always tinkering on something or other. His spare time was spent being in the outdoors, he had a great love of hunting and fishing.
Bernell will forever be missed by his loving wife Georgina ‘Gigi’ (nee Natomagan), parents Yvonne (nee Hanson) and Robert Maurice, his children: Kelton Maurice, Parker Natomagan, Carter Maurice, Jasper McKenzie and Taydon; adopted children: Parker McCallum, Grace Natomagan, Kody Natomagan, and Anthony Natomagan, siblings: Georgina Hansen, Clifford Maurice, Stuart Maurice, Fabian Maurice, Michelle Maurice, April Maurice, Kenneth Hansen, Diane Apisis, Chris Apisis, adopted brothers Logan Maurice and Craig Maurice, mother-in-law Sharon Natomagan, sisters-in-law Tanya (Rob) their children Rory, Ryley Natomagan, Bella (Blake) and daughter Chanel Natomagan, his families from both Pinehouse Lake and Weyakwin,SK as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Bernell was predeceased by his son Dustin Bird, father-in-law Floyd Natomagan, niece Brook Maurice, grandparents Leon (Madeline) Maurice and Richard (Mary) Hanson.
A Wake will commence on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at the Pinehouse Village Hall, in Pinehouse Reserve.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 13, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at the Pinehouse Village Hall as well. The family would like to thank everyone that has assisted them during this difficult time with acts of kindness and help during distress, words of prayer, all support is given.
