Frank Joseph Korycki
Frank Joseph Korycki was born on Saturday, February 2, 1929, in Claytonville, SK, and passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 89 years, surrounded by his family.
Frank and his family lived and farmed in Henribourg. The family moved to Prince Albert in 1984 while continuing to farm. Frank worked hard, starting from a very young age. He was a jack of all trades: farmer, mechanic, plumber, his own veterinarian, construction work, and school bus driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing Kaiser, dancing, going out for coffee and especially spending time with his family, friends and neighbours.
He will always be remembered for his courage and strength (especially during his illness), his wisdom, his kindness, his sense of humour, and his generosity. Frank was loved by all who knew him.
Frank is survived by, his wife of 60 years, Stephanie; his children, Teresa, Kevin (Brenda), Darwin (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Dana, Kristi, Shelbi, Aiden, Chris, Tayler, (Kandace), Ciara, Ada, Alex, Jace; his sister, Rose (John) Slingerland; his sisters-in-law, Mary Crum-Toben, Suzanne Siwak; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by, his parents, Phillip & Sophie Korycki; his sisters, Josephine Gutek, Victoria Wingerter; his brothers-in-law, Joe Gutek, Ron Toben, Matthew Siwak; his children, Cecilia, infant son Richard.
A public visitation will be held for Frank at 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at River Park Funeral Home, the funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Parish, Father Matthew Nguyen officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations made me made in memory of Frank to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
