Remembering Verna…
MOE, Verna Haruko
May 28, 1930 – August 30, 2018
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Verna at the age of 88 years old to be with our Lord and Saviour. She will be sadly missed by her husband Gordon Moe and is survived by their daughter (Pamela), 3 grandchildren Randina, Grandin and Tenille; sisters Betty Anderson, Dorthy Doi and Vera Cassel and her brother Jack Iwabuchi.
She was predeceased by her parents Kiyoshiki (father) and Kiyoshi (mother) Iwabuchil; sisters Kathleen, Helen and Joyce and brothers Bob and Bill.
Verna was born in Brandon, Manitoba and is the 8th of 10 children. The family moved to Taber, Alberta in 1939 and started a vegetable farm. Verna graduated from business school and married Gordon Moe July 28, 1959. They were adventurous and worked hard many years together in different businesses. Gordon will miss her dearly as they were more than just a couple they were business partners and best friends.
She will lay in rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers donations in Verna’s memory may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
