Edward Oleksiuk
December 9, 1932 – August 30, 2018
Passed away peacefully at the age of 85. Reunited with his beloved wife of 48 years, Adele (nee Kowalchuk, 2002). Devoted father of Katherine Hennessy and spouse Herb Newton, and Dan Oleksiuk. Adored grandfather of Patrick Hennessy and wife Laura of Penticton, and Dr. Jamie Hennessy and wife Nicole of Vancouver. Loving great-grandfather of Dexton and Mia. Step-grandfather of Jon and Alexandra Newton and step-great-grandfather of Aurora, Levi, Matthew, and Michael. Predeceased by his parents Anna and Daniel Oleksiuk. Dear brother of the late Dr. Stanley Oleksiuk (2018) and wife Suzanne. “Uncle Eddie” will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Edward retired after 38 years as a Vice President of the National Bank of Detroit and later JP Morgan Chase (Detroit, MI). An avid golfer his entire life, Edward spent many of his retirement years as a starter and marshal at Seven Lakes Golf Course.
