Obituary for Catherine Tiffin
Catherine Douglas Tiffin, a resident of Wallaceburg, died suddenly in Wallaceburg on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the age of 81. Cathy is the daughter of the late Alfred & Helen (Curry) Docherty. Predeceased by her husband’s George Paterson and Richard Tiffin. Loving mother of Scott Docherty Paterson (Catherine) and Lorna Shepley (Robert). Dear grandmother of Aleah Katie Paterson Das (Nathan), Chase Cellotto-Paterson (Rachel), Greg, Jack, Tara (Ken) and Bob Shepley. Sister of Helen, Pam, Douglas and Alfred. Cathy was a past president of CUPE, had worked at the Wallaceburg Childcare Learning Centre, Fiesta Restaurant, cooked at the AA Wright for over 17 years, was a faithful volunteer at the Royal Canadian Legion, helped with WAMBO, the Sydenham District Hospital Auxiliary, Soccer, Fireworks Committee and helped to establish the Selkirk Historical Fair. Her good deeds and charitable works will be missed. A memorial service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 in Wallaceburg on Sunday, September 9 at 2 PM with visiting to follow until 4 PM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.
