Gloria Jean Brown

The passing of Gloria Jean (Betts) Brown, wife of Gilbert Brown, of Lincoln, NB, occurred on August 24, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 1, 1937 in Halifax, NS, she was a daughter of the late Milford and Muriel (Beck) Betts. Gloria was a member of Wesley United Church, Lincoln, NB, where she was involved with all church activities. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and reading books.
Besides her husband, Gloria is survived by her daughters, Deborah Allen (Milton) and Catherine Brown both of Fredericton, NB; her sons, Stephen (Brenda) of Fredericton, NB and Kevin (Wanda) of Saint John, NB; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Brown, Josh and Lira Allen, step granddaughter, Erin; great grandson, Thomas Allen and step great grandsons, Zachary and Jordan; sister, Cheryl MacDonald of Halifax, NS and brother, Edward Betts of Toronto, ON. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Gordon, Rae, Wally, Bernie, Arnold and David.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 2 pm from Lower Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, NB with Rev. Brian MacDonald officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association for COPD Research and would be appreciated by the family.
