Phyllis’s family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of their much-loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at her care-home residence in Regina, at age 86. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Brock, of Regina, as well as her parents Einar and Hildur Iversen, of Ogema, brother Arvid Iversen, of Ogema, and sister Evelyn (William) Prentice, of Ogema. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her sons Daryl (Susan), Duane, and Gord (Deborah). Also missing Grandma’s warmth, laughter and guidance will be Daryl and Susan’s daughters Lindsey (Sean Bowns), of Calgary, and Caitlin; as well as Duane’s children Sara (Kyle Carson) and Adam (Sidni) Brock; and great grandchildren Kaden, Grace, Emma and Nora Carson and Maribelle Bowns. Also mourning her loss are her sister Lila Lanz (the late Cliff LaBatte), of Weyburn, brothers Ronnie (Sharleen) Iversen and Arne (Colleen) Iversen, of Moose Jaw. Phyllis was born near Ogema, Saskatchewan on September 12, 1931 and grew up on the farm. She loved visiting relatives on nearby farms. She later moved to Regina. She married Bob in 1951 and they lived in Swift Current briefly before moving back to Regina. Phyllis had rewarding work and family lives. For leisure she loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports, camping, and visiting with hers and Bob’s friends and relatives. She also loved her time in her kitchen and garden, as well as playing cards and curling. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Hendricksen officiating. Lunch will be served and interment to follow. The family thanks all those who have expressed their condolences and kind support, and that is enough. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing to donate in memory of Phyllis can do so to their favourite charity. The family would also like to thank the staff of Parkview Villa for their caring service and its residents for their companionship.
