Obituary of Ernest « Ernie » Fabian
FABIAN, Ernest John – passed away peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Ernie Fabian of Pembroke, beloved husband of Joan Fabian (nee Zadow) and by first marriage the late Keitha Fabian (nee Dennison). Cherished father of Ian Fabian (Lynne), Renfrew; David Fabian (Karen), Kingston; Faye Devereux (Sean), Pembroke and Laurie Buchanan (Glenn), Stittsville. Step-father of Karen Timm, Barrhaven and Kathy Myre (Grant), Barrhaven. Loving grandpa to Adam, Christie (Ashley) & Sarah (Anthony); Alison (Nicholas), Melissa (Dominic) & Andrew (Nadia); Shane & Erin (Mark); Megan & Kyle; and Mykala & Morgan. Great-grandpa to Rylee, Jayden, Jordan, Olivia, Isabelle, Ellen, Trinity & Jase. Son of the late Christie & Frances Fabian (nee Yantha).
Brother of Ardella Begley (late Roy), Doreen Nicholas (late Roy), Barbara McMillan (Bill Sumer), Shirley Peckford (Bert), Marian Dennison (late Bob), Eddie Fabian (Betty) and Carson Fabian. Predeceased by siblings Roy (late Mary), Harriet Nicholas (late Jerry), Dianne Fabian. Ernie is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 257 Pembroke St W on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Respecting Ernie’s wishes cremation will take place. Interment of ashes in Lake Dore Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to First Presbyterian Church or Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
