1951-2018
Steven R. Wilkin of Harvey, York County, NB passed away unexpectedly
on August 17, 2018. Steven was born in Harvey, NB in 1951, a son of
the late Laurence and Margaret (Gillespie) Wilkin. He graduated from
Harvey Regional High School and St. Andrews Trade School. He was
employed as an industrial electrician across Canada and in the United
States. In earlier days he like to hunt and fish. Steven’s
passion was to serve his Lord and Savior at The Seafarers Mission in
Bayside, NB. He gave out many Bibles and gospel tracts proclaiming
the love of Jesus.
Steven is survived by a brother, Cameron Wilkin (Judith), Smiths
Falls, Ontario; a sister, Marion McLaggan (Barry), New Maryland, NB;
his best friend, Joanne Cole and her children, Glenis Gofton (Chris)
and Patrick Cole (Sara); nieces and nephews, Troy McLaggan and Steven
McLaggan (Jill), Ross Wilkin (Christie) and Gretchen Heagy (Blake)
plus ten great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey
Station, NB on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service
will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Swan Funeral Chapel at 2
p.m. with Pastor Tim Whidden and Pastor Larry Matthews officiating.
Interment will take place at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Steven, the family
has suggested the Champlain Christian Center Seafarers Mission Inc.
