Stacey Lynn Mesheau – Gallant
1971-2018
The family of Stacey Lynn
Mesheau-Gallant, RN, 47, wishes to announce her passing on Friday,
August 17, 2018 at The Moncton City Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB, she
was the daughter of Sandra (Legassie) and Terry Mesheau, both of
Salisbury, NB and loving wife of Daniel Gallant for 23
years.
Stacey was a devoted mother, wife and
nurse. She was a registered nurse at The Moncton City Hospital for 20
years. She dedicated her nursing to the burn unit and many other
units. Stacey loved spending many summers at the family trailer at
Silver Sands Campground in Cape-Pele, NB where she made many lifelong
friends. Stacey was an adventurous cook and an avid reader. She loved
and took in many rescue-cats over the years.
Stacey has had many struggles over many
years due to Multiple Sclerosis. It took so much from her but she was
so strong and faced it with resilience and bravery.
In addition to her parents and spouse,
Stacey will be forever loved and missed by her daughter, Hannah
Gallant (age 18); step-son, Justin Gallant (Darcy); step-daughter,
Laura Gallant; brother, Colin Mesheau (Robie); sister, Leigh-Anne
(David) Harris; father and mother in-law, Alderic and Camilla Gallant;
brother in-law, Terry Gallant; many nieces and nephews whom she loved
dearly; and her dedicated service dog of five years, Poheme, who after
retiring, became their family pet; and two cats.
Predeceased by her grandparents, Alta
and Joe Mesheau of Salisbury, NB and Lloyd and Mary Legassie of
Chipman, NB; brother in-law, George Gallant (1984)
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350
Route 106, Salisbury West, NB (372-4800) from where visitation will
take place on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 7 – 9 pm and from where a
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11 am with
Pastor Kelly Taylor officiating. Stacey will be interred in Our Lady
of Calvary Cemetery in Chartersville, NB alongside her brother in-law,
George Gallant.
Stacey is very proud that her daughter,
Hannah, will be following in her footsteps and attending Oulton
College in the fall to study in the Licensed Practical Nursing
Program. Dan and Stacey are so proud of all of Hannah’s
accomplishments in life and want the very best for her, and so, if
desired, memorials to Hannah’s education fund would be appreciated by
the family. Donations may be made directly to the Mesheau-Gallant
family or at Salisbury Funeral Home.
