Heyninck, Ramie Allan
It is with great sadness that the family of Allan Heyninck in his 71st year announce his sudden passing at his beloved cottage on Erie Shore Road on Monday, August 6, 2018. Born October 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Ramie & Gloria (nee Moynihan) Heyninck. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda (nee Round) Heyninck for 47 years.
Brother of Nancy (Walt) Horne, Jim (Victoria) Heyninck, Ted Heyninck & the late Tom Heyninck.
Brother-in-law of Dona (the late Doug) Fields, Barbara (Fred) Heintz, Patricia (Irv) Dyck, Marjory (Dave) Trotechaud, Debbie (Doug) Toland, Doreen (Gord) MaGee, Doug, Duane (Carol) and Dean (Darline) Round. Predeceased by Danny, David & Darryl.
Also missed by his aunt Carol Weaver and many nieces and nephews who spent many hours camping and fishing at the trailer and cottage.
Allan was a reservist with the Es Scottish Regiment in his younger years and a proud and active ordinary member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 50 years. He was a past Zone Commander, Past President of Branch 28 RCL and an active member of Branch 642 Royal Canadian Legion. Allan enjoyed spending his time hunting & fishing in Erieau.
Family to receive friends on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Legion Service to take place at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday at the Funeral Home at 10:30 am with Rev. John Anderson as officiate. Cremation to take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Trust Fund or to a charity of ones choice.
