Bernadette Marie Connon-Boyd
(nee Sheppard)
1941-2018
It is with immense sadness that the family of Bernadette Marie announce her passing on July 15 , 2018 at the Hospice House Fredericton.
Bernadette was a long time resident of Nackawic, New Brunswick and over her years there, she was active in the Curling Club, Girl Guides, Temperance Vale United Baptist Church, and other non-profit charitable organizations in the Nackawic/Fredericton areas.
She was a proud supporter of the MESSEF orphanage in Haiti and Arms of Jesus, specifically Kaily her sponsor child.
Bernadette was born in St. George’s, Newfoundland on July 19, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret (Cammie) Sheppard.
She leaves to mourn: husband Willard Boyd of Nackawic/Fredericton; son Robert Megirr of Ocala, Florida; Brother John Sheppard of St. George’s; nieces Lynn, Liz, Rhonda, Carolyn, & Jackie and nephews John and Derek ; six step-children, seventeen step-grandchildren, twenty-one step-great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by sister Winnifred Berry of St. George’s, NL and brother Patrick Sheppard of Port-Aux-Basques, NL.
Thanks to Dr. B. Sainz , the nursing staff, the support staff, and the volunteers of Hospice House Fredericton for their exceptional care.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at Temperance Vale United Baptist Church from 1 pm until time of Funeral Service at 3 pm
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 3 PM from Temperance Vale United Baptist Church.
