Fay Arnold Schofield
1926-2018
Fay Arnold Schofield – 92, of White
Rock, Kings County, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 in Grand View
Manor, Berwick. Born in White Rock, he was a son of the late Archibald
and Eva (Corkum) Schofield. He worked the majority of his life in road
construction and heavy equipment throughout Nova Scotia. His passion
was enjoying the great outdoors; hunting, snowmobiling and boating,
mostly at his beloved Little River Lake. Left with loving memories are
his children, Greg Schofield, New Minas; Pamela (Doug) Mills,
Greenwich; Jeffrey (Patricia) Schofield, Little River Lake; Janice
(Daryl) Schofield Davis, White Rock; seven grandchildren, 13 great
grandchildren; sister, Alberta MacLellan, Moncton; brothers-in-law,
William (Vera) Thomson, Port Williams; Frank Prospero, Ontario; Donald
Hall, Ontario. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Greta (Thomson)
Schofield; brothers, Earl, Dean, Ronald, Rex and Bob; sisters, Vilda,
Evelyn and Edith. In keeping with Fay’s wishes,
cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request.
The memorial service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00
p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. A private family
burial will take place in the White Rock Cemetery. Donations in memory
may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Valley Hospice
Foundation. Thank you to the staff of the Valley Regional Hospital
– Medical B and the staff of Grand View Manor. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
His
Smile
Though his smile is
gone forever and his hand you cannot touch,
I still have so many memories of the one I
loved so much.
His memory is my
keepsake, with which I’ll never part,
God has him in His keeping, I have him in my
heart.
