Roger Carroll Robart
Roger Carroll Robart, 80, went
to be with his Heavenly Father, August 4, 2018. He passed away
peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Moncton City
Hospital. Born in Sable River, NS, he was the son of the late Chuck
and Edith (Wolfe) Robart and step mother Grace (Clarke)
Robart.
Roger will be sadly missed by
his devoted wife of 56 years Joyce (Myles), incredible children Vickie
(Rob) of Moncton, Greg (Nat) of Rothesay, Mike (Beverley) of Moncton,
and Stephen (Carrie) of Stillwater Lake, and 10 « awesome »
grandchildren Jessica (Corey), Sarah (Stephen), Erin, Tess, Drew,
Alex, Josh, Kate, Aiden, and Bradleigh. Roger will also be sadly
missed by his siblings, Keith (Florence), Ferne, Peggy (Hugh), Maynard
(Ellen), Patsy (Kevin), Gwennie, Chrissy (Allan) and many nieces, and
nephews.
Roger was a graduate of
Moncton High School, Class of 1957. He worked faithfully in the
engineering department at CN for 32 years. When he wasn’t at
work, you could find him in his garden, painting, making stained
glass, on the golf course or in front of the TV watching his Leafs or
Blue Jays. His greatest joy was supporting his grandkids in all of
their activities. He was very active at First Baptist Church as a
Deacon, Deacon Emeritus, Sunday School teacher, Cub/Scout leader and
prayer warrior. He was also a founding member of the First Baptist
full contact recreational « men’s » basketball
league! He was inducted into the Moncton Sports Wall of Fame in 2013
with the CYHi/CYO Junior Basketball Team (1957-1959). During that
period, one of his claims to fame was playing against the Harlem Globe
Trotters when they came to town.
The immediate family
wish to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all staff members for the
excellent care that Roger received during his stay on the Cardiac Care
