OBITUARY
Robina Joan Lissey
July 23, 1938 – July 26, 2018
Robina was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan on July 23, 1938 to George and Irene Poole. Growing up in Stoughton, Bea was an active curler, speed skater and baseball player. In 1956, she started her teaching career and two short years later was married to the love of her life, Allan Lissey. Bea was always an active member in the community; becoming President of many clubs in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Only a few years after they moved to Alberta, Bea opened a private Montessori school in St. Albert where she spent many years molding the minds of young children. It was also in St. Albert that she developed a passion for bridge and was one of the founding members of “The Crazy Eights” all ladies bridge club. One of Bea’s greatest accomplishments was her skills as a self-taught organist. She is best known for her flawless performances of Joplin’s “The Entertainer”. Bea thoroughly loved travelling with Al. Their travels took them to places such as the Caribbean, South America, Africa, Australia, England and the Orient. However her greatest joy were her three children: Michael (Denise), Susan (Dave) and Doug (Lynne) and her seven grandchildren: A.J. (Andrea), Jennifer, Cole, Tanner, Joy, Faith and Zeke. Although she didn’t get a chance to meet him she would have absolutely loved her great grandchild, William.
We are all blessed to have shared our lives with Bea and she will be dearly missed by all.
