Ida Falbo (Bosio)
FALBO, Ida A. (Bossio) – In loving memory of Ida who passed away peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Francesco “Frank” (deceased), loving mother of Luisa, Eugene, Emilio, Mary and Dina. Grandmother of Sarah, Mark, Amy, Johnny, Ian, Graham, Jamie and Laura. Great Grandmother of Dexter, Valerie, Clark, Giorgiana, Gabriel, Caleb, August and Peter. Ida was born in Dipignano, Cosenza, Italy. In 1953 she emigrated to Canada to join her husband who had arrived the year before. Starting a new life in an unfamiliar country had its challenges but her strong faith and love for her family saw her through the difficult times. We remember our mother as a beautiful person, inside and out who’s mission in life was to create a warm, comfortable home. She had a beautiful voice and would often break into song as she worked. She loved to cook and would happily spend hours in the kitchen preparing delicious meals for us and any of our friends who happened to be stopping by. When the grandchildren arrived she became “Nonna”, a kind and generous grandmother who loved to spend time with her “bell’e nonna”. Nonna will be missed but her spirit and our many fond memories of her will be with us always.
