MYRNA LOUISE BEACH, nee Turner passed away with family by her side on July 27th 2018. Survived by her three children, Joanne Lynn Beach (Jeff) Grace and Claire, Ronald James Beach (Charmaine) Dylan, Reece, and Bryce, Krista May Bakke (Dave) Craig, Shane, and Cassidy and her four beloved great grand-children Hayden, Tripp, Mia, and Fynn, her siblings Wayne Turner, Patricia Linton, Vernon Turner, and Gary Turner. Mom was born in Dinsmore, Saskatchewan, grew up in Quill Lake, and attended nursing school In Weyburn.
Mom worked at Parkside Extendicare in Regina for over 25 years while raising her three children. She communicated love through service to others and was passionate about her work and spending time preparing for family meals and gatherings. Mom would always say she was happiest when she could kick off her shoes after a long day at work and return to her garden, always barefoot because ever since she was a little girl she loved to feel the soil on her feet. Mom loved her pets, Rascal and Nemo, working on puzzles and singing songs from her youth.
Mom held close to her heart her memories of friends and family and carefully preserved birth notices, cards and letters and many school projects her children made for her when they were in grade school.
Moving to Alberta and into the Black Rock Terrace 7 years ago was a big transition for mom and she would come to say it was the best decision for her. Mom enjoyed organized group trips, especially the Christmas light tour and had friends she considered her puzzle buddies that would often work late into the night to complete their latest challenge.
Mom valued doing for others all of her life; was never quite comfortable letting others do for her and taught us many lessons about being loving through service and the possibilities of opening your heart to how others showed their love.
In lieu of flowers Myrna’s family would encourage donations to the Green Acres Foundation; Black Rock Terrace social fund just visit Green Acres Foundation to support other great activities for people to enjoy.
