Norma Young ~ At Huronlea, Brussels, on Sunday, July 29, 2018, Mrs. Norma Evelyn (Knipe) Young of Listowel, and formerly of Stratford, in her 93rd year.
Wife of the late Oscar Young (2002).
Mother of Warren and Colleen Young of Listowel. Grandmother of Chris Young and Wendy of Fullarton, Jason Young and Heather of Stratford, Mandy Young of Listowel, and Lindsay Young and Steve of Whitby. Great-grandmother of Dylan, Olivia, Lucas, and Everley.
Norma was born in Logan Township, Ontario to the late William and Mary (Lannin) Knipe. She went to University of Toronto and graduated as a pharmacist in 1947. In 1950, she married Oscar Young and they farmed in Logan Township until they moved into Stratford in 1965.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel, on Friday, August 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
Interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brodhagen.
Memorial donations to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
