Phil passed away suddenly July 22nd with his wife, daughter and family members Kim and Tracey by his side. Phil was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario and moved to Hope at the age of 5 with his mother Katie and sister Chrissy where he grew up and started work at CP Rail. That’s where he met the love of his life, Colleen in 1983 and they married in 1985. They moved to Princeton in 1986 and that’s where they bought their first home. In 1991, Phil was hired on at Howe Sound Pulp and Paper in Gibsons BC. Colleen followed him there to live together in their new home in 1992. Phil worked at HSPP from 1991 to present and took pride in his work. He was a member of the Howe Sound Fire Department. In 1994, the best day ever happened. They had a baby girl named Paige Michelle and she was forever the apple of her Daddy’s eye.
Phil enjoyed hanging out with his family, playing his guitar, riding his bike and camping at Hotel Lake with his WaHoo family! Phil had so many friends that he considered family, he truly felt blessed. Phil is survived by his Wife Colleen, Daughter Paige, Furry Son Dexter Walter, Father in law Art, Sister Chrissy, Brother Percy, Nephews Shane and Michael, special girls Gillian and Lauren and lots of other extended family.

The celebration of life will be held at Gibsons Legion on August 11th at 1pm
