Obituary for
Lorne John McSheffrey
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Lorne McSheffrey on July 22, 2018, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Rita (Ryan) for more than 50 years, Lorne was forever devoted to ‘his bride’. Lorne was predeceased by his parents, John T. McSheffrey and Irene (Kealey), as well as two brothers, Edmund, and Herbert (Agnes McLaughlin) and sister Muriel Martin. Lorne will be sorely missed by surviving sisters Hilda (Marcel Bruyere), and Eileen (late Lou Bessette), as well as brother Lloyd, (Evelyn Ryan). In addition, Lorne leaves behind two very special god-children, Debbie Burge and Marguerite Comeau, along with many nieces, nephews and devoted family friends. On Monday, July 30th, we invite you to a Celebration of Life at St. Camillus Catholic Church, 44 Plunkett Road, Farrellton, Quebec, where the family will be present to accept your condolences at 10am. Father Paul Mbav will celebrate Mass at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetary, Fieldville, Quebec. Afterwards, we warmly invite you to join us at McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 Route 105, Wakefield, for a short reception. ‘Thank you’ to all who showed such heartfelt empathy and love throughout Lorne’s difficult battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aylmer SPCA – of Western Quebec.
