Ann Bisio
It is with great sadness the family of Ann Bisio-née Charney announce her peaceful passing at Oakview place on July 21, 2018.
Ann is survived by her daughters Diane Hoodle and Barbara Ann Smith, grandchildren- Darren Corlett (Charlene ), Dean Corlett ( Michelle), Nikki Schillberg ( Ken) Whitney Smith ( Owen) , great grandchildren –
Kyle, Kaitlin, Justin,Brad,Sean ,Kelsey ,Amy, Wade and Faye Pre deceased by her husband, Smeraldo and son in law Glen Hoodle.
Ann was born to an immigrant family in Middlebro,MB . She started her working life at The Royal Alexander hotel. It was there that she met the love of her life- Smeraldo. Later on, she began her 40 year career with Perth’s and also worked many years for Eaton’s.
Ann was the matriarch of the family. She was generous and cared deeply for her family. She was an amazing cook, you would never leave her house hungry or without a take away ‘care package’. She loved to have her family together and would create a feast for the holidays.
She enjoyed sewing and together with her husband, would grow the most amazing garden. A little hidden gem in their back yard.
Ann and her husband spent many winters in Hawaii. They shared 73 Years of marriage and made many friends along the way.
Now she is at peace and perhaps creating beauty where ever she is.
Celebration of life to be held at 10:30 am Friday on July 27, 2018 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home
455 Lagimodiere Blvd, Winnipeg, Manitoba
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to those that cared for Ann while she lived at Oakview place.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s society or charity of choice.
