Obituary of Wayne Dowdell
Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at Summit Place in Owen Sound, on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018. George Wayne Dowdell, of Owen Sound, at the age of 74 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Patricia Dowdell (June 6th, 2016). Loving father of Michael Dowdell, of Owen Sound and Shelly McGarr and her husband, Jay, of Guelph. Proud grandfather of Jackson, Brayden and Parker McGarr. Dear brother of Shirley Taylor and Helen House (Tom), both of Owen Sound. Wayne will be sadly missed by his niece and nephew, Heather House (Elaine Dunn) and Dave House (Lisa) and their children, Noelle and Luke. Predeceased by his parents, George and Anne Dowdell; his parents-in-law Archie and Kathleen Phillips; his brother-in-law, Ross Taylor.

WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service for Wayne Dowdell will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 27th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Paula Classey officiating. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce or the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation for Rehab as an expression of sympathy.
