John Viney
John Viney peacefully passed away on Friday July 20th, 2018 at the age of 97 at the St. Joseph Villa, Cornwall. Following his wishes there will be no visitation, however, there will be a Celebration of his Life that will take place Saturday July 28, 2018 at the Ramada Cornwall at 11 a.m. John was born in Montreal in 1920 and was an Electrical Mechanical Engineer for the Canadian Army from 1940 to 1945. He was married to Phyllis in 1941 and fathered Ron Viney born in 1942. John worked for over 40 years at Proctor and Gamble. After retirement he remained active crafting clocks, maintaining his house, and building advanced Lego. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis. Loving father of the late Ronald. Loving Uncle to Jack. Loving Grandfather of Matthew and Mark. Wonderful Great Grandfather of Justin and Simonne. He will be greatly missed as he touched the lives of so many over his near century of living. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. As a Memorial to John a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
