Obituary
Mario Canofari passed away peacefully on July 1, 2018 in Vancouver, B.C. at the age of 87.
Mario was born on July 26, 1930 in Villa di Fano, Abruzzi, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1961. He will be lovingly remembered by wife Shirley, daughter Rossana, sons Stephen (Allison) and Mark (Mary), cherished grandchildren Cheryl (Victor), Christina, Laurenn, Matias, Cole, Nathan and great-grandchildren Adelina and Victoria. Predeceased by his son, Lawrence Canofari. He will also be missed by the countless family and friends back in Italy. A strong and determined man, Mario came to Canada with little but left a strong legacy through hard work and a sharp mind for business. We are comforted knowing he is at peace with the Lord, playing cards and tending heaven’s garden. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, B.C. Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Kidney Foundation.
