Alphonse Guimond
1938-2018
GALLOWAY, NB – Alphonse Guimond 79, of Richibucto
passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on
Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Born in St. Louis, he was the son
of the late Honore Guimond and late Agnes (Guimond) Guimond.
Before retiring, Alphonse was a fisherman master
captain.
Alphonse will be sadly missed by his wife, Rita (Sock)
Guimond of Richibucto; one daughter, Claudette Guimond of St. Louis,
seven sons, George Guimond, Michel Guimond both of St. Louis, Vernon
J. Thompson (late Nicole Basque) of Galloway, Michael Thompson
(Rhonda) of St. Ignace, Geoff Thompson of St. Louis, Lorne Thompson of
Galloway, Wayne Thompson of Hillsborough; fourteen grandchildren and
four great grandchildren.
He is also survived by four sisters, Eveline Richard (late
Eloi) of Galloway, Beatrice LeBlanc (Eli) of Richibucto, Claudine
Richard (Edgar) of Aldouane, Rosa Robichaud (Harry) of Richibucto;
four brothers, André Guimond (late Odila), Yvon Guimond
(Gail) both of Galloway, Philippe Guimond (Cindy) of
Petite-Rivière, Ulysse Guimond of Richibucto and many
nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Nelson
and many siblings.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Saturday from 2:00 pm until time of the
service. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday,
July 7, 2018 at 4:00 pm, Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel,
Richibucto officiated by Pastor Raymond Vautour.
