And now, she rests.
Elaine (nee Boissinot) passed away peacefully at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, surrounded by the love of her family, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in her 75th year, following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Elaine was born October 7th, 1943 in Sudbury, raised in Larder Lake, and lived in Cardinal. She was a seamstress by trade creating beautiful custom drapery for many years and an incredibly devoted mother who made many sacrifices and always put her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren above all else.
She is predeceased by her beloved partner, Ray Leney. Cherished mother of Carol, Daniel (Holly), Elizabeth (Todd), Wayne (Maureen) and Karen (Chris). She is affectionately known as « Grandma with the Meow-Meows » to Chelsea and Johnathon, and « Grandma » to Samantha, Teaghan, Tyson, Tiffany, Terra, Owen and Gavin, and is the great-grandmother to Faithe, Royce, Elijah, Savannah and Carter. Predeceased by her brothers, John (Anne), Peter (Helene) and sister, Lise. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Judd Hendsbee.
The family extends sincere gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Providence Care Hospital for going above and beyond with their kindness, compassion and exemplary care provided to Elaine. Cremation was in the care of JAMES REID CREMATORIUM in Kingston. No public visitation or funeral service is planned. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Providence Care Hospital for Palliative Care), or your local Humane Society, in Elaine’s memory.
